Reason for being a hot spotDump of production wastes of JSC “Petrozavodskmash” is located on a place of a former municipal dumping ground of sewage. Unregulated dumping has converted it into a dumping ground of industrial and municipal wastes of the northern part of the city.

Environmental status in 2003 reportContamination of ground waters with possible impact on the Logmozero and Onego lakes.
Present statusIn 2011: n/d
Joint projects 
Actions doneIn 2003-2012, an existing dam was reinforced, a soil road expanded, vertical grading of the disposal ground planned, and local environmental monitoring arranged. Project documentation for leakage water treatment plant has been elaborated.
