The Barents Mediasphere project united journalists from north-west Russia and north of Norway for a one-week training course starting on February, 24th, in Rovaniemi and Oulu, Finland. The participants got a closer insight into the work of their Finnish colleagues and got detailed information on important economic and political issues such as local businesses and tourism industry development in Finnish Lapland.

Maria Pashenkova writes also about the course at the web page of the Barents Press International.

The course was arranged by the Barents Mediasphere project led by the Arctic Centre, the University of Lapland. Barents Mediasphere is financed by the Kolarctic ENPI CBC program.
